The Aftermath

by Genr8 Music

The Aftermath is Track 6 of 6 and the closing track from the Monsters album. Rather than ending with the killers, it looks at everything left behind: grieving families, survivors, investigations, unanswered questions and communities forced to live with what happened. It is a quieter and more reflective ending to the album, recognising that a crime does not end when someone is caught. The headlines eventually disappear, but for the people left behind, the aftermath can last a lifetime.
